We're Skorost United Youth Academy, the youth football programme of Skorost United, a football club in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, since 2003. This policy explains what information we collect about parents, guardians and children, why we collect it, and how we look after it.
1. Where this applies
This policy covers information you share with us through:
- our website, academy.skorostunited.com
- our ads and forms on Facebook and Instagram
- WhatsApp messages and phone calls
- registration at any of our centres
2. What we collect
About you, the parent or guardian: your name, phone number, WhatsApp number, email address (if you share it), and your preferred centre and trial day.
About your child: their name, date of birth or age group, and the batch they'll join. If you choose to share it, we also keep health information that matters for safe training, like allergies, asthma or past injuries, plus an emergency contact.
Fees and records: records of fees paid and attendance. We don't store card or bank details. Fees are paid by UPI or cash.
Photos and videos: taken at sessions and matches, only as described in section 6.
Website: we use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website. It uses cookies to collect basic information like your device type, browser, approximate location and the pages you visit. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.
3. How we get it
Mostly from you: when you fill in a form on our website or on Facebook or Instagram, message us on WhatsApp, call us, or register at a centre. When you submit one of our forms on Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes your answers to us.
4. Why we use it
- To contact you about your free trial and confirm your slot
- To run training: batches, attendance and progress updates
- To keep your child safe, including knowing about health conditions and who to call in an emergency
- To manage fees and registration records
- To send you academy updates, like schedule changes, events and camps. You can ask us to stop at any time.
- To understand which of our ads and posts bring families to us
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for anything unrelated to the academy.
5. Children's information
We only collect a child's information from their parent or guardian, with that parent's or guardian's consent. Children don't fill in our forms themselves. As a parent or guardian, you can ask to see, correct or delete your child's information at any time.
6. Photos and videos
We take photos and videos at sessions and matches to share the academy's story on our website, social media and ads. We only use a photo or video in which your child can be identified if you've given consent, which we ask for at registration. You can withdraw that consent at any time. We'll stop using new photos of your child, and remove existing posts on our own pages where reasonably possible.
7. Who we share it with
- Our coaches and staff, only what they need for their role
- Services that help us run the academy, such as Meta (for ads and forms), WhatsApp, and Google Analytics (for our website)
- Tournament organisers or football associations, when we register your child for a competition, with your knowledge
- Authorities, if the law requires it
8. How long we keep it
- Trial enquiries from families who don't join: 12 months, then deleted
- Enrolled players: for as long as your child trains with us, plus 2 years for our records
- Photos and videos in published posts: until you ask us to remove them
9. Keeping it safe
Only staff who need your information can access it, and we take care to keep our records secure. No system is perfect, but if something goes wrong that affects your information, we'll tell you.
10. Your choices
You can ask us to:
- show you the information we hold about you or your child
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your information
- withdraw consent, including for photos
- stop sending you updates
